This is my great grandmother's recipe as of May 11th 2021 she will be turning 100 years old. I have tweaked this recipe over the years and I hope that you enjoy it as much as me and my family continue to do. Happy 100th Birthday Edith Baker!
Brooke's #1 go to Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 ½ cups of peanut butter melted
- 2 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients with wet mixture. Pour in peanut butter and mix. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a ungreased cookie sheet and use a fork to press into cookie dough. Bake @ 350°F for 10-12 mins or until golden.
